Ester d’Amico graduated in M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering on December, 21th 2017, with a thesis entitled “Multivariate analysis of physiological variables for the assessment of drug administration during sleep”. From February 2017, she has joined the NEARLab group, working as an intern to the EDEN2020 EU project. Her role is to analyze Raman spectra of brain samples extracted from brain surgery at Humanitas Clinical Institute and evaluate the reliability of Raman spectroscopy as a possible intra-operative tool for the identification and classification of brain tumors.
