Benedetta Gambosi is a PhD Student at the Neuroengineering and Medical Robotics Laboratory (Nearlab) since November 2021. She obtained her MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in June 2021, with her master thesis, “In silico experimental setup for Nitric Oxide diffusion in spiking neural networks”, supervised by Prof. Alessandra Pedrocchi. The work was part of the partnering project CerebNEST, associated to the Human Brain Project FET flagship, that sees a collaboration of the NearLab and the Department of Brain and Behavioral Sciences of Università di Pavia.
Her research interests are bioinspired brain simulations, brain connectivity and information processing, and artificial intelligence. Her research is now focused on the development of bioinspired neural networks of various brain areas of variable complexity to simulate closed-loop behaviors, in particular sensorimotor interactions and the learning process
