
Intra-operative Lymph Nodes localization through Augmented Reality
LynAR aims to develop a real-time, markerless augmented-reality guidance system to assist pelvic lymph node dissection during radical prostatectomy. The core idea is to automatically align lymph node regions at risk and nearby critical structures with the live surgical video, without relying on physical fiducials, and to remain robust to tissue deformation and inter-patient anatomical variability. By providing an intuitive, continuously updated overlay, the system aims to standardize and improve surgical navigation, reducing the likelihood of missed metastatic nodes.
