REDIT
REDIT: Robot-assisted Remote Echography for Diagnosis and Treatment
The project integrates advanced Augmented Reality interfaces, robotic ultrasound platforms and AI-driven frameworks for real-time lesion and instrument detection and tracking, enabling ultrasound specialists to conduct remote diagnosis and seamlessly support image-guided surgical interventions with enhanced precision, situational awareness and clinical efficiency.
(1) Augmented Reality: Deliver an intuitive augmented-reality interface with digital-twin integration, enabling human-in-the-loop control and enhanced situational awareness for the local operator.
(2) Robotic Ultrasound: Deploy a robotic ultrasound platform to enhance image acquisition, optimizing accuracy, repeatability and overall task-completion efficiency in remote examinations.
(3) Surgical Interventions: Develop a robotic ultrasound-guided assistance system to support clinicians during minimally invasive procedures, for example, biopsies or tissue ablation.
