Augmented Reality

Location
Polimi Campus Leonardo
Ground Floor, building 7
Piazza Leonardo da Vinci 32, 20133, Milan, Italy

Anna obtained her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in July 2025, with a thesis carried out at the University of Leeds (UK). The thesis work focused on the development and validation of a computer-vision pipeline for the automatic measurement of colorectal polyps, integrated into a magnetic-guidance robotic system for colonoscopy.
For her PhD in Bioengineering, She is involved in the TRAMIS project (Trustworthy Robotic Assistant for Improved Minimally Invasive Surgery), in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The TRAMIS project aims to introduce an autonomous and reliable robotic assistant to support the surgeon during minimally invasive kidney surgery.

Her research activity focuses on the integration of augmented reality for overlaying preoperative and intraoperative information, with the goal of improving surgical visualization and facilitating intraoperative decision-making.
