CAL.HUB.RIA
CAL.HUB.RIA is a large-scale research initiative aimed at establishing an innovative and accessible Life Sciences Hub in Calabria, with a focus on pharmaceutical, biomedical and biotechnology sectors. The project promotes the integration of basic, preclinical and clinical research to support the development and evaluation of advanced therapies for oncological, neurological and cardiological diseases.
Nearlab is involved in two main objectives of the project:
- Data interoperability and distributed predictive modelling through an OMOP Common Data Model layer and federated learning interface, enabling the analysis of siloed, multimodal clinical data across medical and research institutions.
- Precision medicine in neuro-oncology through AI models integrating multimodal data – imaging, clinical, and molecular – to improve prognostic accuracy and support clinical decision-making in patients with brain gliomas.
