OptimAI

OptimAI is an effort to enhance SAFETY in cardiac surgical procedures through real-time AI-based intraoperative support and data-driven surgical training.

We develop a surgical copilot system that leverages AI and computer vision to analyze multimodal intraoperative data in real-time (e.g., operating room video and sensor data). The platform monitors surgical workflows, detects emerging risks and critical phases, and provides timely alerts to the surgical team. It also enables quantitative performance analysis and structured feedback, supporting data-driven surgical training and continuous skill improvement.
