Alessandro received his MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in July 2024, with a thesis on surgical robotics and surgeon training in a Virtual Reality simulator for the daVinci robot. The goal of his thesis was to implement the softbody simulation in the virtual simulator to mimic human tissues behaviour, together with the development of a visual feedback system to allow the trainee to understand how much force was used to grip the simulated tissue and prevent any damage on it in this way.

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering in collaboration with PAL Robotics S.L. since 2024, with a focus on path planning and manipulation for service robot in the healthcare sector.
