Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT)

Via S. Quirico, 19d, 16163, Genova, Italy

Anna received the BD in Biomedical Engineering in 2018 and the MD in Biomedical Engineering in 2020, both from the Politecnico di Milano. She developed her Master’s thesis at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa, supervised by Prof.ssa De Momi, with the aim of modeling and optimizing the mechatronics of the Hannes prosthetic hand. She is pursuing a PhD in Bionegineering at the Rehab Techonologies Lab (RTECH) of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and at the Electronic Information and Bioengineering Department of Politecnico di Milano focusing on innovative high-level control strategies for an upper-limb exoskeleton for rehabilitation, in combination with Augmented Reality technologies. Anna will spend part of her PhD abroad at the University of Texas in Austin, USA.

Robotic rehabilitation

Anna focuses on the creation of a suitable environment for Activities of Daily Living rehabilitation by combining the implementation of novel controls for upper-limb exoskeletons and exergames developed in Augmented Reality.
